Recap from Monday night.

March 29, 2011

All I have to say is that this was the biggest Monday Night Raw in at least five years. The crowd was loud all night and it was amazing. The roof came off the Allstate Arena when The Rock’s music hit. Unbelievable. My signs made the camera many times on RAW and will do so on Smackdown! for this Friday. I met up with our friend from Falls Count Anywhere and on that site, there will be a more detailed recap in the next few days. Until then, here are a couple of snapshots from my DVR:

Yours truly will be there in the third row near the center of the ring on the TV side. Lady Fro is unfortunately under the weather and not going to be able to make it so I ended up giving my other ticket to a long time friend of mine. Two sections over from us will be our good guys from Falls Count Anywhere. For you wrestling fans, check out that site. Good stuff. We will both have recaps and possibly some pictures to put up in the next few days. Until then, here are the two signs that we will try to get on TV tonight:

We must a make statement.

March Madness

March 17, 2011

It’s that time of year again. The weather is getting nice and the NCAA Tournament is about to get started.

This year is a bit different. I don’t know if it’s because I am three years removed from college or the fact that the Illini really suck (more on them in a bit) but I am not totally into watching all of the games like I was in year’s past. The games will be on the TV at work but I probably won’t be as excited as before.

Now onto those great Illini. How in the hell did they get into the tournament? Their 19-13 record isn’t anything to be happy about. I was one who defended Bruce Weber and decided to be patient. I would have to say barring any miracle this year, Bruce Weber needs to go. This program like their football, needs a new start.  Because the Illini have been so bad the last few years, I believe that is the reason I have lost some interest in following college basketball. Weber leads the Illini to a National Championship game with Bill Self’s players and Self seems to be doing just fine in Kansas. How frustrating.

Regardless, I still did a bracket for ESPN’s tournament challenge. I don’t really have that many upsets. I picked UNC, Duke, Kansas and Wisconsin? to make the Final Four. Duke is my pick to win it all. As the tournament goes every year, there will probably be a team or two that we didn’t think would win a single game end up going deep.

Top of the CN Tower.

Stepping out on the glass ledge.

We all love Ed Belfour; Probably one of my favorite players growing up. Here is his Eagle mask.

We returned home earlier in the week from Canada. The lady and I met some great people over there and it was really one of the best places I have visited. On Saturday, we went the CN Tower and had the chance to step onto the glass floor like the Sears Tower has. It was pretty cool. There is a restaurant on the bottom level of the tower called “Baton Rouge”. That place has the best fries…ever. We will get some pictures up real soon.

Until then, whatever is on your mind, fire away.

Off to Canada.

March 3, 2011

Lady Fro and myself are heading to Communism’s second home for a few days. We will be watching the Blackhawks take on the Maple Leafs Saturday night as well as checking out the Hockey Hall of Fame and a few other tourist attractions.

In the meantime, I am counting on you guys to hold down the fort by keeping testicle-less turds like Mike Douche at bay.

We should be back next week and will put some pictures up from the trip. Until then, have a good weekend everybody.

Fuck the Bulls.

March 2, 2011

I want to congratulate the Chicago Bulls for reminding me of the 2005 season by blowing a 19 point lead against the Atlanta Hawks. PATHETIC. It also didn’t help that they missed eight free throws. Surprisingly, Keith Bogans Bogus did alright.

For anyone who thinks the Bulls have a chance this year, you are delusional. They will be lucky to advance to the second round. Great teams don’t blow huge leads and miss a shit load of free throws in one game. Fuck these assholes.

Happy Monday folks.

A couple things to mention.

February 18, 2011

1. First of all, it’s about damn time the Bulls are playing well. MVP candidate Derrick Rose drops 42 points on the team with the best record in the NBA Thursday night. Before I get to my next point, I would like to mention to the idiots who have argued with me that free throws aren’t a big deal, well they are. The Spurs missed seven of them. They probably have a chance to win that game if they came through from the charity stripe but lucky for us, they didn’t. If you morons still want to argue that fact, feel free to eat my ass hair.

Back to this recent winning streak, even Keith Bogans Bogus has been playing well since I wrote my ANGRY article last week. He isn’t lighting up the stat sheet (Cue Irish Yeti; By the way, can someone take away his calculator?), but since last week, he has been hitting a few shots in key moments of games. This team still needs a real shooting guard. There is a guy who wears number 15 out in Denver who wants a new home. I also want to give some props to C.J. Watson. A lot of people wanted him out of town after his first couple weeks. He was doing a lot of stupid shit like taking dumb shots and turning over the ball. The last month, he has been picking his spots when to shoot and it has been working. Bozo returns from his injury next week and the Bulls are two losses out of first place in the East. Just keep winning.

2. The Blackhawks are four points out of the last playoff spot with 25 games left. There are five teams in front of them with the same amount of points they are chasing so it’s going to be a pain in the ass for them to get in. I would say they need to go 16-6-3 just to have a chance. Just like the Bulls, I will say the same about the Blackahwks: Just. Keep. Winning.
